Something Wicked This Way Comes: Witches and Modern Women

The Geek Anthropologist

Two weeks ago, I published a piece on modern monsters and their meanings within contemporary pop culture. Though I dug through the remains of zombies, vampires and kaiju, I intentionally avoided analysis of witches—I wanted to devote an entire piece that would provide me with the space to unpack the cultural resurgence of witches this year. Why You Shouldn’t Be On LinkedIn

LinkedIn’s (many) updates are conscientiously evolving it into a daily newspaper, shifting its role from dormant resume file to “give us 15 minutes each morning and we’ll make you a better professional each day.” To which I say: You shouldn’t be on LinkedIn. Discuss, debate, learn, grow, engage on LinkedIn.

How Could You? –≋=2366246&aid=470697&blogBubbleImpression=PUKVfvSnRl42aNaK%2fCmeYTmP9eidFHbH6d0eMLkWI4xDNHMikkP9T1HZnabr62nL6l1W1KBZ9f%2flpf8Dq15aTbuQF%2bMQM7CdQnTP9lOZEAQ%3d&tpc=C1bmTMgUsIs1%2brVlUCwJ20gd8AMeMrBAA27GfrqrJKpwO1bBWVeI6JOuDH4WAxdPsiC33pXDd62%2bHDCauY1FvrE5%2fbS2XkLLEkd4z2Quw3iW1%2bgXU17YHwTQBveH3T21qo20CN3oRwLyiasZVpFJijO90tIJnXvnsbQC%2f3FBbs4FMmLAgUbvN6jWBQESzkkjUwgexncCVYwiTBempUddrA%3d%3d&blogBubbleServed=C1bmTMgUsIs1%2brVlUCwJ20gd8AMeMrBAA27GfrqrJKpwO1bBWVeI6JOuDH4WAxdPsiC33pXDd62%2bHDCauY1Fvgpm7Jqn%2b%2fIsFrIy1JOI%2bS3RJVw%2fQoCTGKFz2N9pYUnIDCnn7vIegC7e0exfHqIG5A%3d%3d&usage=mhBT0FmEB9A0kadY09T3Q2J31Q%2F381ikYRIxQetjQmSbcZI78iKNLaEloDuBq69tpwREW38lRrXvRV5UcX6%2FvEimTIsJGMX3arkv766qThUEpita5oaIedFRU%2BRBhT8a2CVD2jJfukqUmj5ECg%2Byk%2BJKziTxYbxXRjh8FgzO0uFsQ3w8lCHeYK4EYoBZk%2BRFTNdz6By%2FXT1nkw2H0%2Buu%2BVnswWde2Crl40lziB8WcSRo17EhiRf93LA01Nvr6XPU7S6020jumQvTzTcU0PSLKr%2FKf8lpAd6iIIgR%2BdX9hNAYQOP8dGATlso%2B6rFUM4b8zFIa9eb8uB3qrZGMACYJZ566CH4O1SHxZ3utlDfM58Ajj%2FCwF58lJpX5995vClCxO2NAMdEI2%2BAGhpwoeojqn7%2FfBP4QR9wWBGYtqHijZgG461p8%2FpjDkTB%2F0ixhqSSBRnPf%2Bjp%2BOUL7DnGe95L5%2Bg%3D%3D&bubble=dI1Eh5JDirmOVTQNfc2fsylfDfOO2gMMHMyYmNNZsxK%2BVNN6EjQJRv%2FIcEaMm6bst0PzWxKBw0%2BZNSKrJ9V6wnNn3A39u7%2FWMvPzlKCE%2F1cSIAQLPrI0cVB3SNUzF98NIfJE%2Bc0duEyVJUjSuMyffnwrgNZwum4PRSQLwErO89w%3D&post=2366246 (Share from CM Browser)
